Project Description

The Transportation Research Institute at U of M wanted to put together a program to help make teen drivers safer. So they created Checkpoints, a free resource for the parents of teen drivers. It’s all about creating a parent-teen driving agreement that helps teens become safer independent drivers. It’s a great program, it helps keep teens safer while they’re learning to drive and if you or anyone you know is even remotely connected to a teen that’s just learning to drive, you should definitely check Checkpoints out!

Go to https://youngdriverparenting.org/ for all the details.

And while you’re there, be sure to check out all of the other videos we put together for them to help explain the Checkpoints process. This is one of the PSA’s we put together for the campaign. It’s currently running on the Michigan Secretary of State TV Network. So, next time you’re standing in line at the DMV, check it out!
